Svanehøj launches control system for cargo offloading

Danish pump manufacturer Svanehøj has launched its newly developed environmentally pleasant Flow Control system, which automates the control of electric cargo pumps on tankers.
The launch of the newly developed software-based control system follows a profitable check in collaboration with the Swedish delivery firm Furetank on the P&C tanker Fure Ven. The 18,000 DWT vessel was built in 2019 as considered one of Furetank’s V-Series, a new technology of climate-smart P&C tankers.
Svanehøj’s system makes it faster, easier, and more environment friendly to function electric cargo pumps. It ensures an optimal changeover between tanks and pumps in parallel, decreasing the time needed for cargo discharge by as a lot as 20% as a result of the system will automatically operate on the optimum responsibility point. เครื่องมือวัดpressure allows the operator to take full management of the pumps, simplifying the whole cargo discharge operation without installing any extra hardware.
Fure Ven is among the many first vessels at Furetank to have electric cargo pumps put in. The company has recorded a 25% discount in power and gasoline consumption in relation to cargo discharge operations in comparability with vessels in the fleet which have hydraulic pumps.
