Hayward Tyler awarded pump contract for ITER fusion project

Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to assist the ITER challenge in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will supply sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint international research and improvement challenge to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is under development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.

Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
