Orders for dual-fuel LNG vessels broke all information in 2021 with a complete of 240 ships globally. That is more than the previous 4 years combined. And progress seems set to proceed unabated in 2022.
According to data from classification society DNV, orders for fifty six dual-fuel LNG vessels have been positioned in January and February.This change in demand has created quite a buzz at Svanehøj. The Danish marine pump specialist quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell fuel pumps in 2021, and there are many indications that gross sales might improve even further in 2022.
Svanehøj has just secured เกจวัดแรงดัน for fuel pump systems for 15 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7,000 TEU), which are to be built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding. The complete of 30 deepwell gas pumps shall be delivered from August 2022 to January 2024. The order is amongst Svanehøj’s largest referring to LNG gas thus far. Large investment in lean manufacturing and new equipment
To help the green transition of the maritime business, Svanehøj is at present investing more than DKK 10 million in upgrading its manufacturing services in Denmark. A new factory layout with manufacturing cells and robotics will help Svanehøj’s ambitious development technique and reduce lead occasions for all merchandise.
